Five Ways to Create a Day of Holiday Cheer on the WTC Campus

The holiday season is a time for bringing family and friends together and creating new memories. The World Trade Center’s 16-acre campus brings a multitude of opportunities for this and festive activities to experience at the iconic New York City destination.

1.      Visit the holiday décor on campus

  • Every year for the holidays, Liberty Park is decked out with festive holiday garland strewn across the light poles, a decorated Christmas tree, reindeer and a Hanukkah menorah for all to enjoy.
  • The World Trade Center Menorah, displayed on the Oculus floor, was designed by Michael and Bonnie Berkowicz. It honors the Twin Towers and features a piece of their structural steel. The Menorah is lit every night of Hanukkah starting December 14th.

2. Enjoy a holiday meal at one of the restaurants on campus:

  • Sit down and savor a meal at one of the many fine dining restaurants located on campus, such as Fogo de Chao, Metropolis or Eataly. Fogo de Chao is having a Champagne and Churrasco Holiday Event, Eataly offers a range of seasonal treats, such as a classic Panettone or Pandoro.

3. Experience a holiday show at PAC NYC of A Christmas Carol.

  • The production immerses the whole audience in the timeless classic. Running from Nov. 23 through Jan. 4.

4. Enjoy the holiday lightings in the Oculus:           

  • The Oculus’ lightings celebrate the holidays: Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year’s. It makes for the perfect backdrop for all your holiday photos with the family whether you are a local or visiting.

5. Holiday shopping

  • Discover the perfect gift for your loved ones, from a stylish winter item, delicious treat, or innovative gadget. The Shops’ holiday hours are Mon-Fri 9am-8pm, Sat 10am-8pm, & Sun 11am-7pm. Full list of shops here

From December 1-12, there is a special promotion when you spend $150 or more in the Shops at the Oculus, you can redeem a free ticket to One World Observatory, and if you spend $250 or more, you can receive two free tickets! 

The WTC campus provides an array of activities year-round, and the holiday season is no exception. Make sure you stop by for some holiday cheer before the year ends!
